Location: Remote (Open to U.S.-based college students, gap year participants, or recent graduates)
Duration: May 2025 – October 2025 (6 months)
Type: Fellowship / Internship (Part-Time, Unpaid with Certification & Portfolio)
About the Role
Are you a college student or recent graduate who wants to make a real impact in the lives of teens?
Taboos: The Truth is seeking passionate, thoughtful, and creative individuals (ages 18–24) to join our Peer Health Fellow Program, a 6-month certification that trains young adults to guide teens through emotional and sexual health topics in safe, age-appropriate, and stigma-free ways.
As a Peer Health Fellow, you’ll grow your leadership, facilitation, and communication skills while helping shape conversations around mental wellness, healthy relationships, consent, and more. This role is ideal for students exploring careers in education, healthcare, youth advocacy, public health, or social impact.
What Success Looks Like
You consistently show up with empathy, curiosity, and a willingness to learn
You complete interactive weekly modules (5 days/week) and actively participate in discussions or check-ins
You develop and present a creative capstone project based on a health topic you're passionate about
You reflect personal growth and skill-building in listening, boundaries, and peer support
You contribute to a supportive learning community that values diversity, voice, and trust
Responsibilities
Participate in skill-building tasks across listening, boundaries, consent, and wellness
Complete self-reflection activities, group discussions, and monthly feedback prompts
Create and evolve a capstone project that showcases your ability to guide and connect with teens
Uphold confidentiality, inclusivity, and safety standards when engaging with sensitive topics
Attend optional live office hours, peer-sharing circles, or team mentoring sessions
Represent the values of Taboos through honest communication and peer support

Strong verbal and written communication skills
Open-minded, empathetic, and willing to engage in personal growth
Comfortable discussing real-life topics like identity, mental health, and relationships
Demonstrated interest in youth well-being, social impact, or health education
No prior experience required — just a willingness to show up and learn
