Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Engineering Leader would help to lead the engagement with our vendor Dev partners within India since DTH is the center of Delta IT for India. Lead and mentor a TechOps team of AWS cloud software engineers, providing technical guidance and career development support. Collaborate with other department leaders to identify, prioritize, and deliver AWS-based solutions aligned with business objectives. Mentor and build the team while delivering innovative and efficient solutions for critical mission-vital Technical Operations applications Negotiate between multiple projects, business leaders, and technical teams to deliver market leading solutions Determine feasibility and ROI of adopting newer market trends and technologies in the development space, interacting with business and product owners to define technical solutions and communicate these to varied technical and non-technical audiences. Stay abreast of new AWS features and services and assess their applicability to company goals. Production issue triage and prevention as needed, release management support from a planning and communication standpoint, and overall backlog maintenance Recruiting, hiring, and retaining the industry best talent for the team Build a roadmap and set a team vision in alignment with organizational goals and driving these to successful outcomes Research and Development of POCs for the TechOps domain Collaborate with the portfolio Directors, General Managers, Managers, Dev teams, Architects & other collaborates on deliverables for the TechOps domain Drive work using industry leading agile practices What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications): BS / MS, preferably in a technical or scientific field, with 12 or more years of experience in an Agile environment, or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and / or training is required Strong leadership ability with a track record of developing people and achieving challenging objectives Experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Azure and RedHat OpenShift cloud infrastructure or Docker or Kubernetes. Experience developing software using Java Fullstack. Spring Boot, Angular, JavaScript, JQuery, SQL, SpringBatch Experience developing and deploying RESTful microservices and using Swagger, JSON, Postman Test Driven Development (TDD). Embraces a diverse set of people, thinking and styles. Experience in software architecture (1 to 3 years). Blend of 60% technical and 40% people management responsibilities including appraisal sign offs.
