Data Engineer - MDM/Data Governance

Job Title : Data Engineer - Principal Consultant Grade : Principal Consultant (15 years) Role Overview : We are looking for an experienced Principal Data Engineer with a strong background in Master Data Management (MDM), cloud data warehousing, and data engineering. This role requires expertise in MDM implementations, data governance, and data quality while ensuring seamless data integration, transformation, and management across enterprise systems. Key Responsibilities : - Lead end-to-end MDM implementations (2-3 full cycles, at least one as a Solution Architect) - Configure exact/fuzzy match rules and complex survivorship rules in MDM solutions - Work with Reltio, Informatica (SaaS), or Profisee for MDM implementation - Drive cloud data warehouse migrations with hands-on technical involvement - Implement data engineering best practices; Databricks experience is a plus - Conduct data analysis and profiling to ensure high data quality - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data governance strategies - Design and implement entity relationship models, hierarchies, and reference data management - Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations across global data initiatives Required Skills & Experience : - 15 years of experience in Data Engineering & MDM - Proven hands-on experience with MDM implementation (2-3 full cycles) - Strong expertise in data profiling, analysis, and transformation - Experience in cloud-based data warehouse migrations (AWS, Azure, GCP) - Proficiency in MDM tools - Reltio, Informatica (SaaS), or Profisee - Good understanding of data governance & data quality frameworks - Exposure to Databricks and big data processing frameworks is a plus - Knowledge of hierarchies, entity relationships, and reference data management - Familiarity with data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) Preferred Qualifications : - Experience in B2B/B2C MDM domain; multi-domain MDM experience is a plus - Hands-on expertise in data modeling and data architecture - Strong understanding of modern cloud-based data ecosystems - This role requires overlapping working hours with NA & China (ref:hirist.tech)
