About the Role : We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Rust Developer to join our core engineering team. You will play a critical role in building the robust and scalable backend infrastructure of our groundbreaking social media platform. Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, secure, and reliable Rust applications for the Internet Computer. - Develop and implement APIs and microservices for various platform functionalities (e.g, user authentication, content delivery, prediction market logic, etc. - Write clean, well-documented, and testable code adhering to best practices and coding standards. - Conduct thorough unit and integration testing using TDD methodologies. - Collaborate closely with other engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver exceptional user experiences. - Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools. - Stay abreast of the latest advancements in Rust, WebAssembly, and blockchain technologies. - Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to fellow engineers. - Contribute to the open-source community by sharing your knowledge and expertise. Qualifications : - 4-7 years of professional experience in software development with a strong focus on Rust. - Proven experience in building and shipping production-grade applications. - Deep understanding of Rust programming language, including ownership, borrowing, and concurrency. - Experience with compiling Rust to WebAssembly and deploying to the Internet Computer. - Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and design patterns. - Experience with TDD and writing unit/integration tests. - Proficiency with Git and Git-based workflows (e.g, branching, merging, pull requests). - Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like GitHub Actions. - Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills. - Strong communication and collaboration skills. - Passion for building innovative and impactful products. - Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong drive to succeed. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and challenging environment. - Bachelor's / master's degree in Computer Science Engineering from a Tier 1 college is highly desirable (ref:hirist.tech)
