Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action. Advise on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take Maintain the financial health of the organization. Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the companys actual performance compared to the business and project plans. Develop trends and projections for the companys finances. Analyze market trends to discover business opportunities and maximize profits. Aid management in financial decisions. Maintain up to date financial system knowledge. Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities. Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met. Manage the preparation of the companys budget. Liase with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained. Correspond with various other departments i.e. HR, Production and Maintenance, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken. Maintaining weekly cash flow forecast and performing of monthly journal entries. Performing of monthly journal entries and preparation of Vat reports and payments. Ensuring contribution margins are adhered to through weekly meetings with contract. managers based on Departmental plans and our budgets. Invoicing client for production based on survey production volumes. Oversee reviewing of debtors and creditors age and processing of supplier payments. Oversee Managing bank recons and balance sheet & Income statement reconciliations. Any other applicable functions as delegated by management. Education and Experience Requirements: Grade 12 / Matric BCom Accounting/ Finance or related Valid drivers license 10 years experience in Finance (5 in Management) Inclusive of Projects Costing Work experience from a Contractor (Mining and Construction background will be advantageous. Willingness to travel Attributes and Skills: Computer Literacy and great Microsoft Proficiency. Multiple Projects Costing. Exquisite time management skills. Advanced and versatile problem-solving skills. Very strong planning skills and organizing skills. Financial Matrix/ systems Understanding. Excellent Communication Skills.
