Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Medical/Surgical Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour night shifts Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Inpatient Nursing - 2 years, Telemetry - 6 months, Travel Nurse experience - 6 months, Stroke or Ortho experience required License: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state/district Certifications: NIHSS, BLS, and ACLS required; CPI's NCI with Advanced Physical Skills Training course required; BSN - Highly desired Must-Have: - Graduation from an accredited or NLN-approved RN program - Experience with Cerner EMR - Live a minimum of 100 miles away Job Description: - Fulfill the needs of patients, families, and community by performing a variety of patient care functions and tasks in accordance with licensure, certification, and training. - Deliver care to patients in a competent, capable, caring, and efficient manner. - Apply knowledge of growth and development over the lifespan necessary to provide age-appropriate care. - Demonstrate the ability to obtain and interpret information based on patient needs. - Understand the range of treatment needed by patients. - Make initial assessments and determine appropriate nursing needs of assigned patients, ensuring appropriate documentation. - Perform initial and ongoing assessments on all assigned patients, including a review of systems, ensuring appropriate documentation. - Complete admission assessments within the established timeframe according to policy and procedures.
