Android SDK Developer - Java/Kotlin

Company : Akshaya IT Solutions Location : Chennai, India (Work from Office) Experience : 5 Years Job Type : Full-time Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, reusable, and well-documented Android SDKs. - Implement and optimize SDK features, focusing on performance, battery efficiency, and seamless integration. - Ensure SDK compatibility across different Android versions and devices. - Write unit and integration tests to guarantee the quality and stability of the SDK. - Collaborate with backend engineers to define APIs and data exchange protocols. - Work closely with product managers and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications. - Troubleshoot and debug issues related to the SDK integration. - Stay up-to-date with the latest Android SDK releases, best practices, and emerging technologies. - Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools. - Provide technical support and guidance to developers using our SDK. - Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality. - Create and maintain SDK documentation, including API references, integration guides, and sample applications. Required Skills and Experience : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 5 years of experience in Android development, with a focus on SDK development. - Strong understanding of the Android SDK, including its architecture, components, and APIs. - Proficiency in Java and Kotlin programming languages. - Experience with Android Studio and Gradle build system. - Deep understanding of multi-threading, concurrency, and asynchronous programming in Android. - Experience with network programming, including HTTP, REST APIs, and data serialization (JSON, XML). - Familiarity with different architectural patterns (MVVM, MVP, MVI) and design principles. - Experience with testing frameworks (JUnit, Espresso) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. - Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. - Strong communication and collaboration skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Experience with version control systems (Git). Preferred Skills (Optional) : - Experience with other mobile platforms (iOS) is a plus. - Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for mobile applications. - Experience with open-source SDK development. - Familiarity with different authentication and authorization mechanisms. - Understanding of security best practices for mobile development (ref:hirist.tech)
