Assistant Estimator to Senior Estimator of 13 years

Assistant Estimator Built Environment. Southern Suburbs, Cape Town (Near Capricorn Park) We are seeking a motivated Assistant Estimator with some experience in the built environment to join our Clients growing team. Based in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town, near Capricorn Park, this is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience and mentorship under a Senior Estimator with 13 years of industry experience. Key Responsibilities: Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for various construction projects Review project specifications and drawings Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing Help analyze and compare subcontractor quotes Maintain organized records and assist with tender documentation Support in preparing cost reports and budget tracking Requirements: Relevant tertiary qualification (or currently studying towards one) in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar 1 year experience (internships or junior roles) in the built environment Strong numerical and analytical skills Proficiency in MS Excel; knowledge of estimating software such as CCS is advantageous yet not essential Excellent attention to detail and a proactive attitude Must be based in Cape Town or able to commute to the Southern Suburbs What our Client Offers: Mentorship from an experienced estimator Friendly and supportive work environment Opportunities for growth and professional development Competitive remuneration based on experience If you're looking to grow your estimating career and gain solid industry exposure, wed love to hear from you.
