MUFG Global Service Private Limited: Established in 2020, MUFG Global Service Private Limited (MGS) is 100% subsidiary of MUFG having offices in Bengaluru and Mumbai. MGS India has been set up as a Global Capability Centre / Centre of Excellence to provide support services across various functions such as IT, KYC/ AML, Credit, Operations etc. to MUFG Bank offices globally. MGS India has plans to significantly ramp-up its growth over the next 18-24 months while servicing MUFGs global network across Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific About the Role: Head of Cash and Payments of Payments Corporate Title: Vice President Reporting to:Director Location: Bangalore Job Profile Purpose of Role: The Head of Cash and Payments is a senior position and is responsible for running operations through various teams. The primary objective of this role is to migrate cash and payment processes from MUFG offices in various regions to MUFG Global Service (MGS) - Global Capability Center (GCC), and actively drive operational efficiency initiatives through process standardization Main Responsibilities: Work efficiently in a fast-paced setting by exhibiting and achieving a high level of ownership at the migration stage. Coordinating well with global stakeholders to execute banks strategic initiatives Drive Operations agenda, industry-wide initiatives particularly those related to Payment standards Ensure highest levels of accuracy by the team in transaction processing and ensure minimal client impact and/or operational incidents Drive process automation and reengineering to cut costs and enhance customer experience. Provides excellent customer service to uphold the reputation of the division and satisfy customers. Improve customer experience by collaborating with business, product, and regional branch operations. Ensure people development and engagement model framework is strictly adhered to Develop and deliver the unit's learning journey. Ensure retaining talents in Cash & Payment operations by nurturing people Establish SMART goals for the division and make sure that everyone on staff is aware of their responsibilities and performance standards. Ensure that all transactions falling within Cash & Payments purview are processed promptly, accurately, and in compliance with established protocols. Establish a robust Risk and Control framework Collaborate with Audit stakeholders and ensure the unit is operating within the risk appetite. Keep up to date on market developments, products, and pertinent rules and regulations. Verify that sanctions policy rules are carefully followed and that QA results are at the acceptable levels. Lead the unit to develop a proactive risk culture; and ensuring that the Group Values and Code of Conduct are properly followed. Verify that all required training is completed in compliance with bank policy Participate in industry forums and represent MUFG / MGS as required Geographies to be covered APAC, EMEA and USA Job Requirements: Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in banking industry Solid working capital product expertise, particularly in the areas of cash management and operations. In depth knowledge in SWIFT, CHIPS, CHAPS, SEPA and all other payment types / methodologies are mandatory Experience leading sizable teams - Regularly exemplifies precise written and vocal communication Ability to think critically and pay close attention to detail. Verbal communication skills that allow for effective cross-cultural connections.
