MGS India has plans to significantly ramp-up its growth over the next 18-24 months while servicing MUFGs global network across Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific About the Role Position Title: Senior Analyst - Bank Guarantees Corporate Title: Assistant Vice President Reporting to: Vice President / Assistant Vice President Location: Bengaluru Job Profile Purpose of Role: The Bank Guarantee manager role is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end management of the India bank guarantee process, ensuring timely issuance, amendment, and cancellation of guarantees in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements. This role will drive process improvements, manage operational risks, and ensure adherence to service level agreements, aiming to optimize the overall performance of the bank guarantee function. Main Responsibilities: Manage the end-to-end issuance, amendment, cancellation, and claims of bank guarantee in compliance with internal policies and external guidelines. Ensure accurate and timely processing of guarantee transactions, including document verification, customer instructions, and liaising with counterparts. Ensure all bank guarantee processes adhere to internal risk management frameworks, regulatory requirements, and anti-money laundering standards. Conduct periodic reviews of bank guarantees to identify and mitigate operational, credit and legal risks. Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding bank guarantee queries, providing timely and accurate responses. Collaborate with corporate clients and internal stakeholders to resolve issues or discrepancies related to guarantee. Continuously review and enhance the bank guarantee process to improve operational efficiency, reduce turn around times, and ensure service excellence. Implement automation and digital solutions to streamline the issuance and management of guarantees. Liaise with external stakeholders, including beneficiary banks, regulators, and auditors, to ensure smooth execution of guarantees. Generate regular reports on the status of guarantees, including KPIs such as processing times, volumes, and outstanding risks. Monitor performance metrics and ensure targets are met, addressing any issues related to delays and inaccuracies. Conduct training sessions to enhance team knowledge on policies, procedures, and regulatory changes in bank guarantee. Prepare for internal and external audits, ensuring all documentation and processes are audit ready. Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, including ICC Uniform Rules for Demand Guarantees (URDG) or other applicable standards. Education & Professional Qualifications: Graduate or Postgraduate Professional certification in Trade Finance Or Bank Guarantees (e.g., CDCS; CSDG) is preferred. Experience: Minimum of 6 -8 years of relevant experience in banking operations with at least 5 years in managing bank guarantees or trade finance processes.
