Job Description
Purpose of the Role: To support and assist with the management and control of inbound transportation activities, from various global suppliers of spare parts. Key Areas of Responsibility: Ensure shipment ETAs are adhered to by service providers, or updated accordingly Follow up with transport service providers on late shipments Expedite shipments which contain parts that are on customer backorder Provide necessary documentation for clearing of shipments Ensure invoices are allocated to the appropriate accounts Ensure Landed Costing is completed within 24 hours of the shipment is received in the warehouse Manage Back-order percentage to within target range (targets are set annually) Manage Back-order age to within target range Assist Planner to ensure Fill rate meets or exceeds target Review & Report on Shipments that are past their due date Review Supplier invoices and ensure accuracy. Engage suppliers regarding corrective action when necessary Requirements: South African unemployed YOUTH Aged between 18 and 34 Must not have taken part on the YES Programme before Grade 12 Diploma or higher in Logistics, Engineering or Supply Chain Management Knowledge of Outlook and MS Office packages Strong problem solving and investigative skills Experience in commercial vehicle parts industry will be advantageous.
