Mildura Location Create news stories for the ABC Contract role for approximately 11 months The Role ABC News Mildura - Swan Hill is looking for a highly motivated, multi-skilled News Reporter in Mildura. The Job Reporting to the Editor, ABC Wimmera & Mildura Swan Hill, you will be responsible for: Pitching ideas, presenting news bulletins, producing digital content, Q&A’s, interviews, updates, and packages across all platforms, including breaking news stories. Preparing and presenting stories for key state-wide radio and television programs including ABC’s 7pm bulletin and News Channel, as well as writing for online. Contribute to the implementation of the Local Emergency Coverage plan. Contributing new ideas to increase audience reach and engagement. Position Description: 30003789 REPORTER NEWS.pdf About You You are a creative, experienced, and highly organised news reporter who is able to find compelling stories from our community to share for radio, digital, TV and social media, and will love connecting with our diverse audience stretching along the Murray River from the SA border to Kerang and up into New South Wales. You will be able to demonstrate that you have: Proven experience in delivering breaking and original content for multiple platforms. Accomplished editorial skills including the ability to source and analyse information and exercise reliable judgement. Detailed understanding of the issues that affect and interest the local audience. The ability to travel to remote locations when required.
