Carrying out site/ground investigations. Soil and rock logging. Preparing phase plans and carrying out phase 1 Desk Studies. Training up to write factual and interpretive reports. Work on in situ testing. Observing day-to-day tasks to develop geo-environmental and geotechnical knowledge. This Graduate Engineering Geologist position therefore requires applicants to have a minimum of a BSc in geology, environmental science, geoscience, geotechnical engineering, environmental engineering or a relevant subject (MSc preferable). Applicants must be keen to learn and develop geo-environmental/geotechnical skills and have an ability show enthusiasm for working outdoors in a hands on role. Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence, live commutable to Sheffield and have a full right to work in the UK.
