Job Description

We’re looking for a Management Accountant to join us here at N Brown Group In this role you will be involved in the preparation of the monthly management accounts for the Financial Services arm of the business, produce analysis to forecast, and oversee preparation of reporting packs to deliver insightful analysis on results to senior stakeholders. The role will support the Senior Management Accountant and Director of FS Finance in providing clear and effective weekly and monthly reporting and partnering. Working as part of the Finance Services and Group team to develop the finance function brand across the organisation, as an efficient and professional team that enables commercial growth.The N Brown Group is currently undergoing a number of key transformation projects which creates the opportunity for the right candidate to build excellent exposure across the business including the opportunity to be part of a team developing a new FS platform What will you do as Management Accountant at N Brown? Preparation and maintenance of the monthly management accounts for Financial Services, ensuring accurate accounting records are produced and reported to key stakeholders in a timely manner, including preparation and posting of accruals, prepayments and journals. Responsible for providing quality financial performance analysis on a weekly and monthly basis and presenting results to the Senior Management Accountant, Director of FS Commercial Finance, and the wider FS Leadership team. Key audit contact for the Financial Services audit process, including interim and year end coordination. Support project work within the finance team as and when required, including debt sale accounting. Support the development of the cost accounting process and control. Support on review production of information returns to external parties. Maintain up to date and accurate policy & process documents engaging with other teams and stakeholders for process signoff. Manage workloads, identify future requirements and efficiencies, and support the Group Financial Reporting team with continuous improvement. What skills & experience will you have? CIMA/ACCA/ACA Part Qualified or Newly Qualified with familiarity with month end process Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel, is essential SQL experience is desirable but not essential Experience of Oracle Cloud Financial Systems and TM1 is desirable but not essential Experience of data languages and Teradata is desirable but not essential Technically Strong – Comfortable with applying IFRS standards and making judgements based on the standards. Digitally Literate - Embraces a digital world with the capability to envision and build new business models, tools, and ways of working informed by digital. Data driven, problem solving and analytical whilst also being able to articulate results clearly to non-finance individuals. What’s in it for you?
