This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional to take on a key role within the firm and contribute to their mission of helping clients realise their ambitions. Position Overview As an Audit Manager, you will manage a client portfolio with fees of approximately £500,000. You will oversee large and complex audits, provide solutions to partners, and ensure that the firm's risks are properly managed. This role requires a strong understanding of UK auditing and accounting standards, as well as the ability to apply technical knowledge clearly and commercially. Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of clients with fees of c£500,000 Oversee large and complex audits, providing solutions to partners Understand and manage different risks to the firm, including reputational and credit risks Collate data for inspections, reviews, or audit technical enquiries Ensure timesheets are properly coded and teams are sticking to budgets Act as the first point of contact for clients on all areas Support other managers in monitoring and developing trainees Manage other areas of the firm for clients, including tax, payroll, PSA agreements, and P11d's Respond promptly to client queries and consider commercial opportunities for the firm Participate in business development activities, including proposals, presentations, and networking Requirements Relevant Accounting Qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or equivalent Experience managing both people and a portfolio within a mid-tier firm High level of familiarity with UK auditing and accounting standards Good understanding of corporate tax Experience in developing and implementing audit methodologies and quality control procedures Commercially aware and able to apply and communicate technical knowledge clearly Experience in both substantive and controls-based audits, group reporting, and cross-border groups Expertise in delivery of primary accounting frameworks (UK GAAP, FRS 101, FRS 102, and IFRS) Commitment to client care and service beyond expectation Commitment to CPD and ensuring technical competence is continually improved Ability to give feedback in a constructive manner Company Overview Our client is a respected multi-disciplinary advisory, tax, and audit firm with a strong presence in the UK and worldwide through the Moore Global network.
