Senior Accountant

My client is a Top 40 firm of Chartered Accountants . As a leading firm of Chartered Accountants, they look after the accountancy, tax planning and business advisory needs of their clients (individuals, businesses and third sector organisations both in the UK and overseas). This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established firm and continue your accountancy career. This is a full-time role based in one of my clients accounts teams. Main job tasks and responsibilities: • Planning, preparing and reviewing accounts, bookkeeping, and VAT for a variety of clients.• Preparing personal tax returns and corporation tax returns.• Assisting clients with their accounting software, including Xero, Sage and QuickBooks.• Providing ad hoc support to the line manager as work arises.• Admin for the line manager, including team billing.• Setting budgets for staff and assisting staff with accounts completion.• Training and mentoring trainees within the team.
