Role Overview The Senior Systems Administrator ensures the availability of Windows Server running in cloud environments, overseeing the installation, maintenance, upgrade, and patching of systems. This role involves analyzing server performance and proactively addressing issues to ensure optimal operation of systems and cloud environments. The position also includes managing enterprise-wide Office 365, Azure, and AWS environments. Key Responsibilities Cloud Management : Manage and maintain Azure, Office 365, and AWS environments. Server Administration : Install, maintain, upgrade, and patch Windows Server 2016/2022. Issue Resolution : Proactively resolve potential issues on Windows Server and related systems. Deployment : Deploy and manage Windows servers running in Azure and AWS. Technical Expertise : Analyze, diagnose, and resolve issues related to Active Directory, email, Office 365, and server performance. Microsoft Products : Manage Microsoft enterprise products, including Office 365, Active Directory, Exchange, and other E5 offerings, both on-premises and in the cloud. Documentation : Create change control processes and documentation for Windows, Azure, and AWS solutions. Mentorship : Act as the technical authority and mentor junior team members in cloud and server administration. Minimum Qualifications Education No college degree or Associate's degree: 10 years of experience in a Systems Administration role. Bachelor's degree: 7 years of experience in a Systems Administration role. Experience Extensive experience in Systems Administration with hands-on expertise in: Azure Exchange and all Office 365 apps AWS Windows Server 2016/2022 administration Active Directory, DHCP, DNS PowerShell Terraform Certifications (Preferred) Current MCSE (Infrastructure or Cloud Platform) Azure and AWS certifications Skills Advanced knowledge of Terraform or similar infrastructure as code solutions. Proficiency in PowerShell scripting. Critical Competencies Self-Motivation : High level of self-motivation with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Confidentiality : Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding information processed, stored, or accessed by the systems. Project Management : Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and reason analytically. Communication : Effective verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in writing technical specifications. Interpersonal Skills : Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills. Team Player : Strong team player with the ability to work independently and within teams.
