Health & Safety Supervisor

As Asbestos and H&S Supervisor you will: Undertake the role of Appointed Person Asbestos on behalf of the company Prepare and maintain the Asbestos Management Plan Plan and manage asbestos surveys and inspections, maintain & update the Asbestos Register. Appoint Licensed Asbestos Removal Contractors to undertake removal and/or remedial works, and to undertake surveys and periodic inspections. Technical oversight and supervision of project works Prepare training material and provide training to staff and stakeholders Undertake broader H&S activities: Promote H&S initiatives and act as an internal H&S Engineering advisor. Drive improvements in processes to reduce health & safety risks. Liaise with stakeholders to ensure engagement and commitment. Review RAMS, and undertake site inspections to identify opportunities Recommend improvements to engineering tasks Asbestos and H&S Supervisor - Skills and Qualifications Technical, construction, building or trade background Qualified in P405 Management of Asbestos in Buildings Relevant H&S management qualification e.g. IOSH, NEBOSH, SMSTS or similar. Conversant with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and Health & Safety Guidance (HSG) publications applicable to Asbestos. Understanding of Risk Management and compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental standards, along with working knowledge of CDM 2015.
