Job Description Working in a hybrid style, based at home and 5 City Square, you will work part time, 30 hours per week in the Fostering, Adoption, Permanance and Kinship Team. If you have any queries regarding this vacancy, please contact Caroline Wright on email caroline.wrightdundeecity.gov.uk Requirements You will have a degree, or Post Graduate qualification in Social Work. Responsibilities You will be responsible for the operation of statutory panel systems and decision-making meetings both for children who require alternative permanent care and for the foster care service. You will be responsible for maintaining an oversight of practice in this area and contributing to the improvement and development of service provision. The Individual You will have experience of partnership working, working knowledge of Children’s Services legislation, policies and guidance and specifically in regards to fostering, kinship, adoption and permanence work, including fostering and permanence panels and knowledge of report writing associated with Panel work. You will have excellent verbal and written skills, the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, with good organisational and presentation skills. You will be prepared to work hours according to the needs of the job. This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
