Description Are you passionate about the legal field and ready to make a difference?Join our dynamic team as a Paralegal and play a key role supporting the team. As a Paralegal you will undertake a variety of data gathering and information recording activities, on behalf of a File Handler, to facilitate the rapid settlement of cases and the closure of files. Drafting appropriate documentation. Serving appropriate documentation upon any third parties where applicable. Liaise with the Insurer client regarding liability and chase accordingly to expedite settlement or repudiation Obtain additional information and/or documentation from the insurer client and/or third parties to facilitate File Handler negotiations. Follow up on outstanding instructions and other actions to ensure that responses are received within required timescales. Obtaining additional information and/or documentation as required from parties To provide general assistance and ad hoc duties to support the File Handler as and when required. To ensure all case management and matter information is inputted on to the system in a timely and accurate manner to ensure completeness of records and to ensure accurate reporting of information to our clients. To ensure compliance with the SRA Standards & Regulations. Adhere to the Keoghs Values Working Hours 35 hours per week Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm with 1 unpaid hour for lunch. This is a hybrid role working 1 day in the office and 4 days from home. Experience, Skills and Qualifications Strong organisational skills, together with the ability to prioritise their workload. Able to effectively work to set deadlines. Following a semi-prescribed programme of work. Dealing with calls and enquiries from customers, suppliers and/or the public. Gathering and recording information. IT Literate. Proficient in MS Office (notably Excel, Word and Outlook) Experience of using a Claims/Case Management system. Proficient in the use of alpha numerical filing systems. GCSE grade A-C in Maths and English.
