Financial Analyst Corporate Finance and Treasury

The Corporate Finance and Treasury team at Altair, specialise in providing expert financial services and strategic advice to clients in the social housing sector. We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Finance Analyst to join our team. About the role This is an entry level position and is suitable for graduates or those early in their career who are excited about the possibility of entering into a finance role, with a focus on impacting society in a positive way. If successful in the role it is envisaged that the Financial Analyst will be supported to undertake either a recognised accountancy or corporate finance qualification. Line Manager: Senior Consultant Finance Location: Hybrid, 2-3 days a week in the London office and occasional travel to client sites may be required. Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week Monday to Friday. Key Responsibilities Business Planning & Financial Reporting Support Collaborate with the Finance team to model and review Business Plans for Social Housing providers using Excel and Brixx (sector-specific tool). Assist with stress testing Business Plans to meet regulatory requirements and ensure long-term stability. Work with Consultants to prepare regulatory returns for clients Financial Year end. Conduct research and analysis on publicly available Social Housing financial data, including financial statements and sector-wide data (global accounts, sector scorecards). Gain expertise in sector-based financial reporting best practices and provide advice to clients. Corporate Finance & Treasury Work with the Corporate Finance and Treasury (CF&T) team to model debt and derivative products. Assist with the analysis of these products, ensuring they align with clients' financial objectives. Produce monthly financial reports to keep clients informed on market conditions and ensure value for money in treasury operations. Provide monthly FX transaction analysis for Higher Education clients, benchmarking against market data. Help prepare financial analysis for clients' financial statements and cash flow projections. Provide economic and market insights using Bloomberg Terminal. Client Engagement Directly engage with clients building strong, positive relationships. Monitor and manage client requests, coordinating with the wider team to deliver solutions. Quality Control Provide quality assurance on reporting and analysis from the Finance team, ensuring error-free delivery of reports.
