Job Description Job Description Salary: $51,000 - $63,000 annually Employment Status Full Time Fair Labor Standard Act Status Non Exempt Civil Service Status Classified Department Operations Reports to Manager of Information Technology Job Code Q1514 Position Number 21205301 EEO & Salary Classification Paraprofessional B Salary Pay Grade Two General Overview: Under close and continuous supervision of the Manager of Information Technology, provides support and assistance to employees regarding utilization of computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must perform essential duties to expected performance standards. Completes assigned equipment form(s) for newly assigned staff equipment. Trains staff in the use of said equipment. oEstablishes and maintains an aging list of staff assigned electronic components and establishes a non-emergency replacement schedule for older equipment. oMaintains an inventory of installed software and data stored on staff equipment. Reviews, documents and applies patches and updates for such equipment and software. oOversees the help desk for staff related computer and software questions and issues. Tracks and maintains a log of such events to assist with determining staff computer and training needs to reduce such instances. oOversees setup of electronics for meetings. oPerforms assigned Great Office Solution Helper (GOSH) tasks and acts as the backup to the Billing and Eligibility Coordinator. oWorks independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects. oIn the absence of the Manager of Information Technology reports directly to the Associate Director of Operations. oWorks assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance, and works overtime as required to meet workload demands. Equipment Operated: Computer; copier; printer; telephone and other standard office equipment/software. Contacts with Others: Community, State, County and ADM Board Service Providers representatives, vendors, clients, general public. Confidential Data: Maintains confidentiality of sensitive records and treatment information, client files and protected health information in compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and established procedures. o This position has access to all ADM Board electronically stored data. Working Conditions: Work is performed in a typical office environment with minimal exposure to dirt and dust and occasional exposure to outdoor temperatures. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet and occasionally moderate with typical office sounds and conversations of others able to be heard throughout the office area. o The employee occasionally works under desks and in the ceiling to access computer network cables. oExposed to outside weather conditions when traveling to other work locations. Physical Demands / Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job the employee frequently exhibits manual dexterity when working on the computer, and frequently talks and hears when working with job contacts. The employee frequently sits for extended periods of time, and occasionally stands and walks. Vision demands include close, relatively detailed vision, with the ability to adjust focus when typing and reading a computer screen and documents. o Ability to safely and successfully perform the positions essential duties and responsibilities consistent with ADA, Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and quantitative productive standards. oAbility to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. oMust be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds when installing or moving equipment and other items. o Must be able to listen and speak clearly on the telephone. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: oKnowledge of computer operations and applications; computer hardware; Microsoft server/PC operating systems; Microsoft Office Suite software; security software; and computer troubleshooting. oAbility to analyze problems and recommend viable solutions; exhibit patience in working with persons of varying computer knowledge base; maintain confidential and sensitive subject matter; maintain effective work relationships with associates and job contacts; train and coach others in computer applications; work independently. oSkill in troubleshooting computer hardware and software problems; operating computers; application of software programs; typing. Qualifications: An appropriate combination of education, training, course work and experience may qualify an applicant to demonstrate required knowledge, skills, and abilities. An example of an acceptable qualification is: oBachelors Degree in Computer Science or Associates Degree in Computer Science, or related field; or five years of related experience. oAbility to document identity and employment eligibility within three (3) days of original appointment as a condition of employment in compliance with Immigration Reform and Control Act requirements.
