Position We are seeking a Software Engineer specializing in Embedded Systems and AI/ML to join our team. In this role, you will contribute significantly to the design and development of software for embedded devices in the IoT/Automotive field. Your expertise will be crucial for developing robust and efficient solutions. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will be involved in the entire software development lifecycle, from concept to implementation and testing. Key Responsibilities Development of middleware on Linux-based embedded systems for managing updates, handling application lifecycle, offering security, and abstracting hardware resources. Implementation of real-time data collection and processing for Automotive IoT applications such as fleet monitoring, predictive maintenance, drive style estimation, vehicle health monitoring, and road type estimation. Integration and deployment of AI/ML models on edge devices to enhance system intelligence and responsiveness. Requirements Strong knowledge of C++ and object-oriented programming. Proficiency in Linux operating systems and shell scripting. Experience with AI/ML frameworks and deploying models on embedded systems. Familiarity with real-time data processing and IoT communication protocols. Problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team. Nice to Have Experience with the Yocto Project for embedded Linux development. Knowledge of automotive standards and protocols (e.g., CAN, UDS). Familiarity with hardware accelerators for AI/ML, such as GPUs or TPUs. Understanding of cybersecurity principles in embedded systems. Language: English, Italian (B2). Work model: Hybrid.
