Job Description
The Federal Labor Relations Authority (FLRA) is an independent administrative federal agency created by Title VII of the Civil Service Reform Act of 1978, 5 U.S.C. 7101-7135. The mission of the FLRA is to promote stable, constructive labor-management relations in the federal government by resolving and assisting in the prevention of labor-management disputes in a manner that gives full effect to the rights of employees, unions, and agencies.
The Federal Labor Relations Authority (FLRA) is offering opportunities in its Washington, D.C. and Chicago locations, to energetic and highly motivated students, currently enrolled in an accredited law school, who want to gain professional legal experience and exposure to public service while enhancing their educational goals and shaping their career choices. This unpaid internship program will give candidates the opportunity to learn about labor and administrative law, litigation, alternate dispute resolution, and client counseling. If you have a passion for labor, employment, and administrative law; if you aspire to bring your creative and analytical legal mind to the public service; if you want to intern with us during the Summer 2024, Fall 2024, Winter 2024, or Spring 2025, we look forward to hearing from you. We invite 2L or 3L students to apply. We are looking for candidates for internships in several offices located at the FLRA's Washington, D.C. headquarters and the Chicago Regional Office. Applicants have an opportunity to learn the nuances and workings of a specific office within the FLRA during their internship.
