Job Description

Title: Instrumentation Technician Position Summary The Instrumentation and Calibration Technician, under minimal supervision, is responsible to perform the functions necessary to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, install and calibrate pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical and low voltage electrical control components/systems. Key Duties and Responsibilities Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, calibrate, and alter/modify pneumatic, hydraulic, low voltage and mechanical equipment or system components Carry out both field and bench calibration duties and tasks instruments generated by CPM with various instruments following S.O.P.s Integrity-test components to ensure product efficacy following S.O.P.s Determine impact of work scheduled, co-ordinate and communicate to departments/customers impact on production operations Compile, enter data and maintain all information/documentation relevant to maintenance and calibration programs Manage and ensure calibration standards are up to date and traceable to NIST Arrange for Contract/Third Party services as required and supervise all work performed Ensure that all work is performed in full compliance with c.G.M.Ps, S.O.P., W.I.s, codes, regulations and established safety standards Review and write Work Instructions for calibration procedures Work as a member of a team to achieve all outcomes Perform all work in accordance with all established regulatory and compliance and safety requirements Help resolve certain electrical issues Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Experience in troubleshooting and repair of electronic equipment is a definite asset Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office Working knowledge of company G.M.P.s Good communication skills, Good interpersonal skills Demonstrated Initiative, self-motivation Good planning and organizational skills Analytical problem solving skills Bilingual in both French and English Experience in Biologics manufacturing is desirable Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment Education • Completion of a recognized Industrial Instrumentation College degree or equivalent • Minimum three years of relevant experience in the maintenance, repair and calibration of pneumatic, hydraulic or mechanical and low voltage electrical control components/systems
