This role requires a dynamic individual, who is a leader in their field, to help create an inclusive visitor experience through imaginative displays, meticulously curated landscapes, and diverse plant collections.

As a key figure within the senior management team at RHS Garden Wisley, the Curator will uphold and elevate the highest standards of horticulture and curation, including ensuring rigorous biosecurity measures are in place in partnership with the RHS Plant Health team, and to garden sustainably for the planet, helping to implement the RHS Sustainability plan. This prominent position also entails representing the RHS across educational and media platforms, at RHS shows, working in collaboration with our Marketing, Communications, and Shows teams.

Furthermore, the Curator will play a pivotal role in helping to shape the future of horticultural education by supporting RHS professional training programs, in conjunction with the School of Horticulture and Learning teams.

The Curator will lead a dedicated team of four Garden Managers, and is supported by a Senior Administrator, helping to oversee a talented horticultural team of approximately 80 people, 30 students and apprentices, and over 100 volunteers. With an annual budget of approximately £1 million, there will also be opportunities to develop new projects and further develop the garden for the 1.3 million visitors welcomed each year. This is a unique opportunity to influence and shape one of the world's foremost horticultural institutions.

To work for the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) is to join a thriving charity, whose mission is to be there for everyone on their lifelong adventure with gardening. This is a great opportunity to make a difference to RHS Garden Wisley, work with our other four gardens and influence many other areas of the RHS’ work.
