Multi - Skilled Maintenance Technician

Location: Newton Aycliffe

Salary; 43k PA (including shifts - 3 SHIFT PATTERN)

Contract: Initial 12 Months

Salary: £ Competitive (Incl Shift Allowance)

I am looking for an experienced Multi Skilled Maintainer, working at my clients Global Manufacturing organisation based in Aycliffe site, this is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive business, here you will have the opportunity to collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people in the world. Your responsibilities include;

Provide reactive maintenance support for machine breakdowns

Engage in activities which support proactive maintenance through completion of planned maintenance tasks and jobs list actions

Proactive attitude by identifying areas for continuous improvement of machinery to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness and reduce waste

To fault find and establish root cause of failure in equipment with follow up improvement actions

Work safely at all times observing instructions, procedures, permits, safety systems and lock offs etc.

Ability to generate improvement ideas and engineering solutions

Good communication skills and collaborative working with other site support functions

Essential Skills Needed;

Electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, servo controls PLC fault finding (Omron preferred)

Preventative maintenance

Electrical - 18th Edition or plan to acquire

Experience of automated assembly production lines

Experience of robotics (ABB preferred)

Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings.

Ability to work with staff at differing levels of the organization.

Strong communication skills

A team player.

Versatile and a self-starter able to work without supervision.

Your Skills and Expertise

Time served electrical OR mechanical maintenance apprenticeship

HNC electrical / mechanical engineering

Additional qualifications/experience that could help you succeed even further in this role include

History of working within manufacturing maintenance with injection moulding, hydraulic and pneumatic systems

Experience working with PLC’s/Drives and robotics

Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations

Experience in carrying out root cause analysis assessments

Shift Pattern 24/5 (38hrs week)

06:00 – 14:00 Monday - Thursday 06:00 – 12:00 Friday

14:00 – 22:00 Monday - Thursday 12:00 – 18:00 Friday

22:00 – 06:00 Monday - Thursday 18:00 – 00:00 Friday
