Electrical Design Engineer

Our client, founded in 1996, is an engineering firm with a wide array of projects such as High Rise, Mid Rise and Low Rise Multi Residential Buildings, Hotels, Senior Apartments, Long Term Care Buildings, School, University Buildings, Health Care Facilities and Restaurants of various brands across Canada, are searching for an Electrical Design Engineer who will be responsible for the design of electrical building systems- including lighting, communications, AV and/or other specialty systems that meet standards and the needs of our clients. Duties: Perform detailed calculations to establish standards and specifications Provide quality assurance for ongoing projects Work closely with stakeholders, clients, contractors and peers Work closely with sales Mentor junior engineers Ensure compliance with company procedures, design standards and safety standards. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. If you have an interest in pursuing a career in Building Sciences as an Electrical Design Engineer, and have the following qualifications, we would like to hear from you: Completion of a three (3) year Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited College. University degree/P Eng. a strong asset Minimum 8 years experience. Ability to work in multiple projects at once Demonstrated AutoCAD skills. Revit an asset. Experience using MS Word, Excel and Outlook. Ability to work in a team and independently. Proficient verbal and written communication skills. This is a permanent position, salary based on experience.
