Qualifications & Experience Grade 12 BCom / BTech degree in Procurement / Supply Chain Management Proven technical Buying experience in the Construction Industry Woking knowledge of Tender Buying and Contracts Buying Computer literacy, Advanced Excel BuildSmart, Leads to Business and CCS Understanding of BoQ, Construction Materials, Production Schedules and Lead Times of all Material Requirements Strong technical knowledge and understanding of Resource List produced by CCS, and supply chain management Management of Bulk Orders Excellent communication & interpersonal skills Must have 8 years of Tender Buying Experience. Responsibilities Managing the procurement of the business as well as tender buying for the tender division and contracts buying for the construction division Negotiate contracts, improved process and terms of business with suppliers, Negotiate terms of agreements to achieve the best deal for our company Assess tenders and quotations from potential suppliers Monitoring market changes, competitor prices and products Forge and maintain trust relationships with suppliers to promote fair dealing with the correct strategic partners in the business Identify customer preferences and forecast customer/retail trends- Identify market and realize a possible shortage or over supply and to take advantage Negotiate terms of agreements to achieve the best deal for our company Contact supplier to resolve price, quality delivery or invoice issues Improve and reduced cost on material with assistance of production team, and Master scheduler Internal and external stakeholder management, communicate and inform relevant department of any expected shortages/ delivery delays Expedite deliveries from key suppliers, obtain quality and production approval for alternative methods, sources or material Investigate invoice/ purchase order discrepancies Compliance within budgetary parameters, production requirement, and quality requirements. Results orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines Attention to detail and accuracy Knowledge of relevant purchasing process, policies and sourcing concepts Evaluate supplier options according to prices, quality, B-BBEE, Enterprise Development and determine the best choices and how to form a strategic partnership with suppliers.
