About the Opportunity

ES&T has over fifty years of experience across the complete nuclear asset lifecycle, from managing existing facilities or closing a legacy asset, to helping build next-generation nuclear systems. Our team also offers an extensive range of capabilities to defence agencies, supporting operational mission planning and execution, acquisition and logistics management, information technology and business operations. Reporting to the ES&T International, Director of HSSE, the role sits within the central function and is responsible for supporting implementation of the management system at various locations.

This role requires good collaboration skills and an ability to build relationships with others. Key responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting the business to meet its environmental and energy saving targets and goals
  • Supporting office and site based environmental leads and champions
  • Collaborating with facility leads to ensure management system targets and reporting requirements are met
  • Monitoring performance against targets and goals
  • Producing regular performance reports for use by internal operations and function
  • Support the investigation of environmental incidents and record them in the company's incident management tool
  • Be a visible and credible ambassador for environmental and energy management, leading by example

Here's what you'll need:
  • A relevant environmental qualification
  • Good knowledge of environmental and energy management requirements, and particularly those related to legislation and ISO 14001
  • Competent with Microsoft Office applications
  • Competent communicator both written, verbal and presenting
  • Professional membership to a relevant body e.g. IEMA or be prepared to join (company funded)
  • Security Clearance (SC) level or be prepared to obtain it
