Your Impact:

Our Defence and Security teams provide design and engineering services for our nuclear and defence clients across the UK and abroad. Our team is experiencing exciting growth and long-term prospects within our established practice.

We offer hybrid working with 3 days at the site RAF Lakenheath. East Suffolk. This Infrastructure Programme consists of 14 immediate projects to accommodate, support and maintain Fighter Jets, a design and build contract with a capital value of circa £160m.

About the Opportunity

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team; providing risk management support to both project teams and clients.
The role comprises the implementation of risk management procedures working closely with all members of the sub-programme and project teams to identify, assess, mitigate and monitor risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities include:
  • Implementing risk management procedures
  • Attending project meetings and capturing risks at all stages of the project
  • Developing and managing risk registers for each project ensuring ongoing maintenance and analysis
  • Updating of risks with multiple stakeholder risk owners (client, contractor, delivery team)
  • Facilitating the escalation of information on risks to the appropriate levels
  • Supporting the knowledge sharing of risks and opportunities across the portfolio of projects ensuring that lessons are learnt
  • Producing risk reports on risk by using risk software

Here's what you'll need:
  • Project Controls experience
  • Experience in the construction industry or project environment
  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Office package (in particular excel) and Risk Management software (e.g. @Risk, ARM, Predict, Primavera, PRA)
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, good presentation skills, written and oral
  • Effective time management with high attention to detail
  • Sole UK national with the ability to obtain SC level Security Clearance
  • Available to work on site at RAF Lakenheath at least 3 days a week (40 hours)

Desirable
  • Experience in schedule risk analysis
  • Knowledge of NEC contracts
  • Experience of risk management at programme level
  • Previous experience on UK MOD projects
