Summary:

This sales role is responsible for assessing the business case in Switzerland and work closely with the senior sales covering Germany, Austria, and Italy to expand our wallet share and make us a strategic partner of choice. This 12-month role (fixed term contract) would work closely with EU Regional Sales Leaders, business lines and sales specialists to ensure delivery of an outstanding client experience. Key aspects of the role include a full understanding of all LCH Group products, analysing and communicating client requirements, identifying growth opportunities, and ultimately delivering on our financial goals.

Accountabilities:
  • Identify and pursue new business with existing clients and onboard prospect clients across asset classes for both the French and the German regions of Swiss.
  • Develop go to market plans for net new (target) members and clients and support the execution of existing client account plans.
  • Develop and maintain internal and external relationships with key decision makers or potential influencers including senior level executives.
  • Prioritize member/client onboarding based on product set, regulatory timelines, liquidity, revenue opportunity.
  • Partner with Sales Specialists and Product team to influence and drive product improvement, innovation, and new capabilities to ensure we are competitive and in a suitable position to win business.
  • Introduce senior LCH/LSEG representatives to strategically important accounts at an appropriate time.
  • Collaborate with cross-department business partners in the deployment of joint pivotal initiatives.
  • Maintain contacts and sales activity in Salesforce and provide timely updates to Sales Management and EU regional leader on sales activity and go to market plans
  • Day-to-day responsibilities will involve this person working closely with functional business partners, including product managers, client service, operations, membership onboarding, technology, legal, and risk to support the implementation of new members/clients.
  • Creating opportunities for other team members to engage with key member/client contacts.
  • Educate current and potential clients, members, or prospects as to the overall scope of products covered by the LSEG Post trade.
  • Understand and articulate the benefit of new products as they become available to current and prospective members. This will include speaking at seminars and industry events/conferences.
  • Attend industry conferences /forums and client road shows promoting LSEG Post Trade across multiple asset classes.
  • Provide internal training material and present at knowledge sharing forums.
  • Gather market intelligence on industry and product trends (including competitive analysis) to ensure LSEG Post Trade is strongly positioned across the region and in each local market.
  • Build and develop strong two-way relationships with product teams
Requirements:
  • A deep understanding of trading markets, OTC trading products and the role of clearing ideally from working in either a bank (Sales/ trading/ structuring) or in the finance industry. Knowledge of CCPs, clearing businesses and derivatives-related regulatory and legislative agendas
  • Experience in institutional sales and/or complex product sales that require business case development.
  • Fluency in English and French, and proficiency in German.
  • A self-directed sales professional who knows what needs to be done and operates with a sense of urgency and focus.
  • Ability to prospect and build a pipeline, from identifying the right opportunities to gaining access to the right levels of and across an organization; influencing and building advocacy to create the conditions to close the sale.
  • Ability to acclimate quickly & become knowledgeable on LSEG Post Trade core product offerings.
  • Works effectively independently but supports a team-oriented approach.
  • An excellent communicator -written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal.
  • Relevant tertiary level qualification
