Job Description

Global Business Director, Strategic Accounts - Data & Analytics (French Speaking)

Are you a senior sales professional looking to make a significant impact on a global scale? Join us as a Global Business Director (GBD) within Data and Analytics and become a key player in driving our client-centric approach. In this role, you will integrate our diverse products and services to meet client needs, acting as a strategic relationship manager who leads, develops, and executes global account strategies for some of our major banking clients in France.

Overview of the role as a GBD

The role requires the incumbent to pivot constantly: from the highly strategic to tactical execution; from influencing client and LSEG executives, to engaging those deep into both organisations; from being marketplace expert, to consummate deal-maker, to operations specialist.
Above all, the GBD acts as the voice of the customer to executives and elsewhere internally: they convey customer needs, and enable delivery on these. They are agnostic about product and business unit, and act as the matchmaker, connecting the customer C-suite into LSEG and driving opportunities. They are at the forefront of market trends, anticipating where these are headed, implications for the client, and ways that LSEG can help. They ensure the company delivers against customer expectations, by leveraging a deep internal network to lead and influence large, global teams.
While it has elements of both sales and operations, the GBD role is even more so about business and relationship management. It requires a rare combination of skills and experience, and opens up a wide range of opportunities for LSEG, our customers - and the GBDs themselves.

What you'll be doing:
  • Strategic Engagement: Build and nurture commercial relationships with top global banks, ensuring seamless delivery of our services.
  • Opportunity Identification: Discover, negotiate, and implement opportunities that benefit both clients and our organization, leveraging a vast global network.
  • Client Solutions: Present tailored propositions to clients, addressing their unique and complex strategic needs.
  • C-Suite Relationships: Establish and deepen C-suite dialogues, bringing valuable insights and networks into our organization.
  • Innovation and Advocacy: Advocate for clients within our company and act as an ambassador in their enterprises, driving product innovation to meet both short-term and long-term requirements.
  • Strategic Account Management: Develop, implement, and monitor strategic account plans with clients and internal teams, aiming to increase profitable revenue and market share globally.
  • Indirect Leadership: Influence global teams, ensuring effective engagement and delivery. Mentor and develop sales and relationship management talent.
  • Executive Partnership: Collaborate with our C-Level Executive Sponsor to align strategies and drive success.
Who are we looking for?
  • Proven experience in leading strategic account relationships within the financial markets.
  • Strong background in sales, with a solid understanding of finance and business acumen.
  • Diverse experience in multiple business functions, bringing forward new ideas and creativity
  • Ability to build deep connections within matrix organizations and drive results through various channels.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a knack for thriving in ambiguous and shifting environments.
  • Expertise in leading complex negotiations and delivering on agreements.
  • Visionary with a strategic outlook, capable of influencing and mobilizing complex networks.
  • Well-connected within the financial industry and knowledgeable about the latest market trends.
  • Skilled in relationship management and consultative selling, from boardroom discussions to individual contributions.
  • Proficient in strategic account planning and managing complex, global accounts.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, across different formats.
  • Language Skills : French & English
