The Role

As an Infrastructure Analyst Wintel, you will be responsible for the 2nd and 3rd line technical support with experience in Active directory and VMware virtualization to deploy applications in Citrix VDA. In this role, you will be involved in stakeholder management, ensuring compliance and industry security best practice.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide 2nd/3rd line technical support to server estate (Window 2022/2019/2016/2012).
• Provide a strong knowledge of the Active directory, group policy and user management.
• Provide a strong knowledge on the VMware virtualisation, different versions of Esxi hosts and

vSphere.

• Manage deployments of new / updated applications & OS.
• Manage and deploy applications in Citrix VDA environment.
• Use change, problem, incident, and release management toolset in accordance with organisation policies.
• Leverage your knowledge on server hardening, CIS policies and vulnerability fix is mandatory.
• Be aware of ITIL processes to follow guidelines in day-to-day activity.
• Provide technical assistance, training and mentoring of other aspiring technical resources.
• Manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure support and delivery of business-critical services.
• Proactively ensure compliance and industry security best practice.
• Perform Antivirus and security tools deployment and management.
• Have basic knowledge of BMC monitoring.
• Perform Hardware blade, servers, physical servers’ configuration and BAU support.

Your Profile

Key skills/knowledge/experience:

• Experience with management of Windows desktop builds.
• Knowledge of application packaging technologies such as MSI.
• Hands on experience on VMware infra design, build with HA, DR, VM deployments.
• Knowledge of management of Anti-Virus and Patching Deployments.
• Experience with active Directory, especially Group Policy Management.
• Working knowledge of DNS, DHCP & WINS.
• Experience of working effectively both individually and as part of highly productive teams in an Infrastructure/Application ITIL based support environment.
• Appreciation of business-critical real-time systems.
• Strong verbal and written skills.
• Able to pass background vetting process.
• Excellent stakeholder management at all levels with ability to challenge senior stakeholders and say ‘no’ politely.
• Ability to mentor junior personnel and provide guidance on work packages.
• Ability to work with little or no guidance.
• Attention to detail in all aspects of the analysis and ability to draw conclusions quickly in a limited timeframe.
• Ability to balance multiple tasks without a negative impact on quality.

Good to have:

• Experience in software deployment technologies such as SCCM (desirable).
• Knowledge of Citrix XenApp\XenDesktop (desirable).
