Relief Security Officer

Within this active role, you will be required to ensure the security and safety the premises, and colleagues for a College campus.

Working as part of a team in a modern, fast-paced environment, you will carry out a range of duties including:

• Managing access control for employees, visitors, and contractors
• Patrolling the site on foot to deter and detect issues/incidents
• Screening and Search
• Dealing professionally with incidents
• Responding to customer requests and queries
• Maintaining records and audits using computer- and paper-based systems

The standard shift pattern of work is as ad hoc relief cover; however, the shifts will be 9 hours covering between 06:00 to 15:00, 07:00 to 16:00 and 12:30 to 21:30.

The location operates continuously and welcomes any applicants who are reliable and flexible with great communication skills, both verbal and written.

An SIA Door Supervision (DS) or Security Guarding (SG) license is essential, and to succeed in this role you will also need:
• Strong customer service skills and experience
• Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills
• The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
• Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in security
• Good IT and administration skills
• Five years' checkable history and references
• To pass a criminal records check (CRC) to the required standards
