About the Opportunity:

We are looking for a nuclear professional to aid in managing and overseeing the EAS Sellafield portfolio.
Reporting directly to the Operations Director this site-based position will ensure the operational delivery throughout the organization, leading behaviours from the front to ensure a safe performance.
Embedding the culture and standards across the organization as well as being accountable for the performance of the organization as delegated by the Operations Director.
Attendance and representation at client meetings along with chairing internal reviews and hubs will form part of the daily activities.
The successful candidates will be flexible, knowledgeable and willing and able to function both within the team and independently as required.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Ensure the day-to-day operations of the portfolio run smoothly and efficiently;
  • Identify inefficiencies in existing processes and implement improvements;
  • Develop, implement and monitor ( SOPs) Standard Operating Procedures;
  • Oversee staff and craft scheduling and performance;
  • Continuous Improvements - Control local Hubs to drive outstanding performance;
  • Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators;
  • Crisis Management - Mitigate risks and manage crises that could disrupt operations;
  • Provide leadership and conflict resolution across the EAS Sellafield team.

Here's what you'll need:
  • Qualified to a degree level (or equivalent) in an Engineering/Construction discipline;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure;
  • Strong leadership and people skills and effective communication skills;
  • Self-Starter with the ability to drive tight deadlines;
  • Working knowledge of nuclear processes and procedure with 10+ years in a heavily regulated environment;
  • Understanding of the NAECI/CIJC Working Rule Agreements;
  • Ability to attain SC/DV Clearance;
  • Desirable: Experience holding a SQEP position within the nuclear industry.
