Job Description

As an Account Manager at Conveyancing Alliance (CAL) you will play a key role in sourcing and registering mortgage brokers onto the Broker Conveyancing system, proactively finding and targeting potential brokers, as well as maintaining regular contact with existing clients.

In this role you will work closely with the Account Management Team to strategically identifying key actions to develop relationships with brokers, managing your own diary to balance prospecting, retention, and development of all accounts.


This is a hybrid role, 3 days a week in the office.

We specialise in catering to the needs of high-volume estate agents and their clients by providing dedicated fee earners to handle their conveyancing matters.


Key Responsibilities

Source and register mortgage brokers onto the Broker Conveyancing system - providing the broker with the key benefits to sell the service to their clients.

Pro-actively find and create own hitlist of brokers/firms to target

Continuously pro-actively hunt, source and register new brokers, whilst developing existing broker portfolio

Maintain regular contact with all brokers via phone, email and face to face visits

Work in close partnership with the office-based ACM team to establish a process of contact for individual broker/firm and enhance the value of our proposition.

Strategically identify key actions to develop individual brokers/firms.

Manage own diary to balance the prospecting, retention and development of all accounts to achieve targets set across all conveyancing platforms

Assist brokers with ongoing cases - liaising with fee earners to gain updates, liaising with ACM team to gain updates where applicable and when required take further action via partner contacts at law firms

Assist brokers with the placement of new matters, answering queries and guiding brokers to the correct law firm.

Attend monthly review meetings with all key providers.

Use MI data to monitor performance and identify areas of development, then use for setting targets and expectations.

Create monthly working plan to ensure all areas of business are covered.


Person Specification

Proven track record in sales and business development desirable but not essential.

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and colleagues.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively present information and negotiate.

Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

An understanding of the mortgage and conveyancing market, including industry trends and regulations desirable but not essential.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues across different departments.
