About the role:

Our team specialises in providing consulting services to private equity and corporate clients on technology-related matters in deals (i.e. mergers and acquisitions) scenarios.

The DDV (Delivering Deal Value) team is a specialised group of technology professionals with a variety of deep skills and experiences. We typically engage with private equity and corporate clients, working alongside financial, people, legal and operational specialists. Our focus encompasses pre deal IT and technology platforms due diligence, carve out / integration planning, technology enabled value creation and post deal execution. We are comfortable working with investment bankers, corporate finance houses, magic circle lawyers and C suite - our typical IT contact is the CIO or CTO.

We are seeking to expand our team with individuals who can contribute to achieving our ambitious growth goals.

What your days will look like:

This role will focus on our DDV technology infrastructure and platform capability and propositions.

  • Provide SME input and/or lead on DDV projects including - technology platforms and IT diligence, carve out/integration, end state architecture definitions and post deal infrastructure value creation planning and execution engagements.
  • Maintain strong connections and relationships with wider Infrastructure and cloud capability in PwC and with our technology alliance partners.
  • Develop and lead DDV centric business development (or other) propositions.

This role is for you if:

  • You have strong experience of strategic review of hosting infrastructure, network and security options; roadmap development; modernisation and cloud migration strategies.
  • Experience of high level design and deployment of infrastructure solutions, including cloud services, network configurations and data center integrations.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (including AWS, Azure) and understanding of various services offered by cloud providers, such as compute instances, storage solutions, databases, networking, analytics etc.
  • Proficiency in one or more cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure) is essential, including understanding their respective offerings, pricing models, management tools and best practices.
  • Familiarity with design patterns, such as, serverless computing, event-driven architecture, and distributed systems.
  • Ability to factor in architectural principles such as scalability, reliability, availability, performance, security, and cost-effectiveness to develop/review cloud solutions.
  • Familiarity with tools such as infrastructure automation (e.g Terraform, AWS Cloudformation, Azure Resource Manager etc), configuration management *e.g. Ansible) and version control (e.g Git).
  • Familiar with approaches and solutions for integration (APIs, messaging, data integration etc), Containerisation, orchestration and automation.
  • Ability to develop, review and implement robust risk mitigation strategies, including failover plans and backup solutions.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory environments design and implementation/migration approaches. Comfortable with concepts around AD integration with identity management systems, cloud services and third party applications.
  • Familiarity with virtual networking concepts and ability to assess at a high level the network structure, segmentation, porting, capacity/speed, hardware and software (such as routers, switches, firewalls etc) of an organisation. Familiar with network migration approaches.
  • Ability to evaluate and select third-party vendors and service providers to support infrastructure projects. Negotiate contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) with vendors.
