Job Description

Overview:

We've partnered up with start-up focused on developing self-healing concrete technologies. Their main goal is to create concrete materials that can repair themselves automatically when cracks or damage occur, extending the lifespan of structures and reducing maintenance costs.


Due to recent growth, they're now looking for a Project Engineer to play a pivotal role in the design, testing, and implementation of sustainable precast elements, as well as contribute to life cycle assessment studies.


What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate with the design team on precast production and design.
  • Liaise with detailing companies and precast manufacturers.
  • Design and manufacture vascular networks using CAD.
  • Conduct laboratory testing of precast elements and analyse performance.
  • Coordinate on-site implementation and testing of retaining walls.
  • Design and execute experiments for precast elements testing.
  • Assist in life cycle assessment studies with third-party collaborators.
  • Prepare detailed reports on experiments, tests, and project progress.
  • Travel to manufacturing sites and field locations as needed.


The Skills & Experience That You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and 3D modelling.
  • Experience with material testing and structural analysis.

Advantageous But Not Essential:

  • Experience with sustainable construction practices.
  • Knowledge of life cycle assessment methodologies.
  • Familiarity with 3D printing technologies.
