Product Merchandiser

Your new role

The Product Merchandiser will work closely with our Brand, Trade, Commercial Finance and Supply Chain teams to ensure we offer an unrivalled sofa experience to our very important customers. Responsible for identifying opportunities to improve our service metrics through the planning and forecasting of materials, the Merchandiser will need to be confident in liaising with our Commercial Finance and Supply Chain teams to ensure an accurate forecast can be shared with our supply base. They will also be responsible for ensuring we have the optimum mix, cover levels and the ordering of stocked product and swatches in to drive conversion, maximise revenue opportunities and control associated costs.

A day in the life of

A Product Merchandiser, here are just a few of the things youll be getting up to:

• Feeding data from the Commercial finance, Power BI and analytics teams into forward-looking product range materials forecasts to improve our suppliers availability of materials for made to order production.

• Agreeing capacity with our central operations, supply chain and logistics teams for the stock programme and building the loads for the buys to align to budgets set by the Commercial Finance and Buying teams.

• Ordering of stock and store displays aligned to key critical path dates.

• Management of the online swatch process inclusive of replenishment orders.

• Identify pricing trends within the market utilising the benchmarking data supplied by the buying team.

• Critical path management for new range launches and stock buys.

In an ideal world

You will have the following experience

• Experienced within the merchandising role with strong commercial acumen.

• Excellent numerical and analytical ability.

• Highly organised with exceptional planning skills.

• Ability to build complex range plans and forecasts in Excel/Google sheets.

• Strong knowledge of systems and processes.

• Strong communicator and influencer across internal functions and supply base - Buying, Product Operations, Central Operations, Commercial Finance, Data and analytics, Supply Chain, Trade and visual merchandising teams.

• Logical with exceptional problem solving abilities.

• Accustomed to delivering at pace in a high performance environment.
