Alton Community Playschool is a small nursery based in Roehampton. We provide early years education for all children aged from two to five years without exceptions. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and we expect all staff members and volunteers to share this commitment.

As an experienced provider of early years education, we have been in the market for over 35 years and recognise the clear link between well-qualified, enthusiastic staff members and quality of education.

We are looking for a qualified SENCO staff member (part-time) to join our team as soon as possible. Ideally, the person would have knowledge of SEN, which is a must.

Part-time hours are 20 to 25 hours per week (Term-time only and with the possibility to work from home one day a week)

Duties will include the following: drafting SEN plans, funding applications, working with core staff to support children with SEND, monitoring children with SEND alongside external professionals and agencies, applying for EHCPs, and drafting alongside the Managing Director the SEND Policy.

DBS is a must
