Front Office Shift Leader

The Copthorne Hotel Manchester are seeking an experienced Reception Shift Leader to provide a warm welcome, helpful and efficient service to guests

As Reception Shift Leader your key responsibilities include:

• Providing a friendly and efficient service to guests, ensuring company policy and procedures are complied with, consistently
• Dealing with guest queries/complaints promptly and communicating with the Duty Manager, as appropriate
• Providing accurate shift handovers ensuring all items requiring attention are detailed in handover diary and the shift checklist is completed to the required standard
• Ensuring all reports are updated regularly throughout the day
• Ensuring all information is communicated to the relevant department in the interest of providing excellent customer service
• Assisting the Front Office Manager with the smooth running of the department, including supervision and training of the Reception team

We are keen to hear from applicants with the following:

• Previous Reception experience within a quality hotel
• Excellent knowledge of computerised Front Office system, e.g., OPERA
• Excellent communications skills
• A positive, can do attitude
• The ability to work well under pressure
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work on a rota basis, including weekend work. Typical shifts are 07:00-15:30 or 14:30-2300, as the business requires
