Casual Car Documentation - The successful candidate will be a designated Casual Car User which means that car journeys may be necessary on an occasional basis, but are not essential to the role. If you do drive, you must always hold a full valid driving licence and provide your own car for use at work, as well as provide all the appropriate documentation. You will receive an allowance per mile of business use.

DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance - this post is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (amended in 2013). Appointable candidates will be required to apply for a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. At 640 acres, Heaton Park is one of the largest municipal parks in Europe and is already one of the most popular visitor attractions in the Northwest, attracting over 2.3 million visitors a year.

This role will be responsible for developing and managing a Visitor Experience Strategy that reflects the spirit of place and heritage of the site.

The role will lead & manage the Volunteering, Education, Events and Engagement staff and programmes and lead on the Stakeholder and Engagement plan for the Park.

Working closely with the Parks Strategy Team & Commercial Development Lead this role will help identify new opportunities and build relationships to ensure that we are providing a vibrant and productive park for the future.
