We have fabulous opportunity for you to join our awesome Business Development Team as a Bid Development Partner. We oversee the development of new business as well as remodelling current services by creating quality, compelling bid responses and proposals. Were ambitious and on the road to be a market leader in mental health and learning disabilities services and health innovations.

Typical day as a Bid Development Partner

• Your successful bid writing skills will translate vision to sparky sector-leading tenders, whilst meeting commissioner requirements and reflecting our competitive strengths
• Youll maintain and continuously improve our knowledge management system to ensure consistent communication and presentation, enabling managers to self-serve.
• Youll use your analytical approach and quality writing skills to communicate complex information into compelling tenders and proposals that reflect our commissioners needs and showcase the best of Home Groups services and practices.
• Your extensive understanding of commissioning approaches used by local authorities and the NHS, along collaboration with colleagues in the organisation will lead to opportunities highlighted and risks identified and mitigated.

You bring

• Your first class written and communication skills, evidenced through your bid writing (or similar) experience
• Experience in the bid-writing sector even better if its within the care and supported housing sector!
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work flexibly and collaboratively, to meet business needs
• Ideally your experienceusing a CRM system, knowledge management and continuous improvement practices
• Your excellent IT package (MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) skills to create visually appealing content
• To get from A to B, youll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that well pay your mileage!

Our team

Youll join our Business Development Team including our Head, Darren, and Sarah our Lead BD Manager. Were recruiting a couple of colleagues together, so youll have someone to learn with dont worry though, youll have the expertise of Darren and Sarah along with the rest of our experienced and supportive team to buddy and mentor you!

Job details

• Flexible working hours (or were open to agreeing a work pattern with you)
• Youll manage your own diary, so if you need to take delivery of your new fridge or take a longer lunch for a haircut, you can use your flexi time to manage that!
• Our team is spread nationally so we take it in turns where we host our monthly face to face team meeting! Our offices are in Leeds, London, Birmingham and Newcastle, so every now and then youll be going further afield.
• We also regularly visit services were supporting with tenders, so youll need to be okay with travelling (we cover train or milage expenses of course!)
