English Teacher

Job Title: English Teacher (Interim Cover, 4 Days a Week)

Location: Southend or Basildon

Contract Type: Interim (3 months)

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £30-£35 per hour paid weekly

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced English Teacher to join a college in Southend/Basildon on an interim basis, covering a 4-day workweek from Monday to Thursday. This role is expected to last for approximately 3 months, with the potential for extension.

As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons that inspire and challenge students, helping them to achieve their full potential. You will work closely with other members of the teaching team to ensure a supportive and productive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality GCSE & Functional Skills English lessons to students, ensuring all abilities are catered for.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to help students improve.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning and personal growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to teaching and learning.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an English Teacher, with a strong track record of successful teaching.
• Ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons to students of varying abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
• A passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
• Availability to work Monday to Thursday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.
