Are you passionate about data and eager to start your career in data analysis? Rapid Hire Group is seeking a Level 3 Data Analyst Apprentice to join our growing team. As one of the UK's up-and-coming independently owned hire companies, we operate from our head office in Maghull Business Centre, with additional depots in Liverpool and the Wirral. As a Data Analyst Apprentice, you'll play a crucial role in helping us analyse and interpret data to drive business decisions and optimise our operations. This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data analysis while contributing to the growth and success of Rapid Hire. In this role, youll work towards your Data Analyst Level 3 Apprenticeship delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Maintain internal data systems (Syrinx & Bibby) through removing duplicate entries, correct spelling errors, completing blank fields, correct formatting
  • Analyse from the system key findings for departments within the business to enhance business growth (Sales, KPI's, Finances etc)
  • Transfer information allocated from field staff who may input into Microsoft Excel, to then input into CRM system for the whole team to access and use.
  • Pull findings from the CRM system into graphs and tables alongside Sean & Alex to analyse findings such as stock & hire reports within the previous week & month, but also to then provide report for sales team to target new business opportunities & reports into purchases that have been made and what balance may still be outstanding.
  • Provide reports to management staff on data collated (sales figures, geographical locations, equipment used, most popular purchases) to be able to visualise & demonstrate figures and findings to teams within the business & also to potential new clients. This will give answers to business needs analysis.
  • Research into the mean, median, mode of the data findings within sales for KPIs needed for directors/management for business needs analysis.
  • Run regular reporting from our CRM System that illustrates summaries and predictions of past and future business.
  • Collate feedback from clients and customers about recent purchases and product usage, encourage feedback & reviews on google & social media for analytic purposes.
  • Social Media analytics through Mailchimp & social media analytics what social posts are performing, attracting target audience. Report into office staff and marketing team of findings to then provide changes where needed.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.


Salary, Hours&Benefits:


  • £15,000 - £18,000 per annum
  • Monday to Friday 7:30am-5pm
  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Grade 4 in Maths and 4 in English is essential for this role
  • Good planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • An ability to multitask and use initiative when decision making
  • Making and maintaining excellent internal and external customer relationships.
