Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Transition Manager to join our team. The primary focus of this role is to ensure the successful transition of new services from project/development into production operation. The Service Transition Manager will be responsible for achieving formal confirmation that acceptance criteria have been met and that the service provider is ready to operate the new service.


How you'll make an impact

  • Act as a senior stakeholder in compliance with industry and external standards, such as ISO9001, ISO 22301, ISO 27001.
  • Assisting with the definition and operation of effective financial control and decision-making processes, particularly in the areas of service provision, projects, component cost models, and the allocation and apportionment of IT costs.
  • Ensuring that management processes, tools, techniques, and personnel are in place to ensure the planned and compliant transition of services, service components, and packages in accordance with policies and standards.
  • Providing authorisation for critical release activities and serving as a recognised point of escalation for the Change Management Function within the organisation.
  • Facilitating decision-making processes related to business change and participating in the planning and implementation of change.
  • Monitoring client satisfaction levels and promptly responding to queries, complaints, and requests.
  • Capturing and disseminating technical and business information.
  • Developing the organisation's approach to the transition process and defining the service acceptance policy for service transition, which may include user training and documentation, sign-off by business and/or project managers, agreement on go-live dates, acceptance of technical support documentation by support functions, impact on SLAs with stakeholders, implementation of new technology/tools, and updating of service catalogue and configuration management system.

About You

  • Knowledge of the insurance industry. (Prefered)
  • Experience with techniques for identifying, gathering, and validating customers' needs in the delivery of IT services. (Prefered)
  • Background in relevant national and international legislation. (Would be benecifial)
  • Experience in delivering effective and accessible presentations, either face-to-face or online, within various contexts and to a variety of audiences. (Prefered)
  • Experience in methods and techniques for preparing and presenting business cases, requests for proposal (RFP), invitations to tender (ITT), and statements of requirements/work both verbally and in writing. (Prefered)
  • Prior experience in the assessment and management of business risk, including safety-related risk. (Prefered)
  • Strong Project Managment skills (Needed)
  • Strong Risk Managment background (Needed)
