Inventory Control Specialist

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Inventory Control Specialist/MP&L Order Controller to join our team in Minworth/Birmingham. The successful candidate will plan and monitor workflows, as well as material movement in production cycles to ensure continuous operations.

How you will contribute

• Support for all operational departments with regards to packing queries
• Understand requirements and take decisive actions
• Ensure line down time is minimal
• Assist in follow up of Customer concerns
• Identify and eliminate root cause using robust countermeasures.
• Sustain the corrective actions to eliminate repeat issues.
• Ensure all relevant information for each project is contained within the Syncreon order book and is accurate in order to ensure all shipments can be processed without delay
• Develop and maintain Standard Work and Quality processes to ensure a “Right First Time” product to the customer
• Ensure that all customers required quality processes are operated in line with specification, i.e. QCOS
• Drive a zero-tolerance mindset for deviation from the use of quality processes to ensure customer expectations are exceeded.
• Timely release of packing orders to the lines in accordance with manning hours and MCD date for the build plan on the project
• Liaising with RFU to ensure all materials due are delivered in a timely fashion in accordance with the MRD date for the project

What you will bring

• Ability to communicate and deal with a variety of people.
• Ability to perform repetitive duties and detail work accurately.
• Ability to work with frequent distractions.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Administrative ability.
• Good customer service and/or interpersonal skills.
• High school diploma; some college is preferred.
• Experience of order process control is essential
• Proficiency on computers and Microsoft Office products, namely Excel
• Good understanding of AOS and SAP is required
• Proficiency in working with operations managers, staff, and hourly employees.
• Proficiency in working with customers.
