Senior Field Service Engineer
West London (M40 Territory)
£38,000

Benefits:

  • Starting Salary £38,000 rising to £39,250 (after satisfactory probation period and training accreditation)

  • Mon- Fri 40hrs per week(minus1 /2 hr lunch unpaid per day)

The Client

Our client are a leading hire company providing full UK coverage for industrial equipment.

With plans to expand the business further this has presented an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Field Service Engineer covering the South West to join their team.

The role of Senior Field Service Engineer:

  • To be a custodian of the brand at all times and demonstrate company values.
  • Maintaininga high standard of service and repair on all cleaning equipment ensuring the delivery of a world class service experience
  • Regularly communicatingwith Regional Service Manager
  • Maintaining,accurately diagnosingand repairing the full range of Industrial Cleaning Equipment including Municipal
  • Completingdocumentation of work orders promptly on Oneview FS365, ensuringaccurate records are created
  • Controlling van stocks in accordance with customer base ensuring 5% difference adhered to during all stock takes
  • Effectivelycommunicating dailywith regional scheduler to assist operations
  • Identifying and communicatingsales leads to relevant sales person
  • Promotinghealthy relationships with customers and the One Professional Team
  • Maintainingtools and equipment to a satisfactory and safe condition
  • Participatingin on-job coaching with Regional Manager ensuringpersonal development plan is relevant
  • Elevated duties in absence of Regional Manager if required
  • Where required attending reactive weekend on-call work orders (few and far between)

Your qualifications, experience and characteristicsare

  • 3 GCSEs at Grade 4, or equivalent, including English and Maths
  • Formal mechanical/electrical qualifications
  • Proven experience in the service and/or cleaning industry or willing to fast track through training.
  • Fantastic communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Able to improvise and be conversant with customers.
  • Experience with electronics, batteries, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical and diesel engines.
  • Experience with : Municipal Cleaning Equipment /Fork trucks / HGV / Plant Hire / Horticultural / Agricultural Machinery
  • Full UK driving licence essential
  • Willingness to travel and stay overnight if required
  • Some training will take place in Europe so ideally a passport is required.
