Position Summary

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for acquiring and developing new and existing clients in the Consulting and Private Equity sector in France, but not exclusively, and leveraging our market leader position in a geography that has still a lot of development potential!

The ideal candidate is driven by building and developing relationships, excited to acquire and grow clients, and is performance driven. He or she is curious and creative minded, passionate about understanding clients and helping them, is opportunistic, has great organizational skills, and enjoys working within a team dynamic in an international environment!
We are looking for a sales professional with proven business development or account management skills, with some experience working in the market research industry or with previous experience in a consulting company.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
These include the following. Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of management in the context of the role.
  • Prospect for new sales opportunities and drive revenue, winning new clients or developing existing ones, to meet monthly and quarterly revenue targets associated to your portfolio
  • Build new client relationships through leveraging Dynata services and products, taking part to client meetings, active email communication as well as through engaging in social media and participating to conferences or events
  • Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with the GoToMarket of the company to solve for customers pain points
  • Perform all required administrative and reporting tasks assigned to Business Development Managers, including invoicing management, revenue forecasting, quarterly business reviews, and weekly reporting.
  • Be Back up to Sales Director/Managers with clients and/or internal meeting when the Director/Manager is away.
  • Support companywide initiatives aimed at making Dynata a great place to work, through attention to Diversity and Inclusion, mental health and employee engagement initiatives.

Business Development Skills– Our ideal candidate enjoys creating new relationships, developing accounts and adding new ones to his portfolio. He or she is passionate about understanding clients’ challenges, is driven by the opportunity to help them. He or she is persistent, hardworking, opportunistic and likes the challenge of navigating in a fast-paced environment, dealing with demanding but rewarding clients. He or she has a great level of autonomy and has discipline in managing opportunities pipeline, from creation to conversion, mastering the sales funnel process.
Strong Client Relationship Management - Candidates should have experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including leveraging social media and lead generation tools. Our ideal candidate is curious, driven by understanding everything about our client’s environment, and by the perspective of creating new relationships as they grow!
Understanding of trends shaping the insights and consumer environment like Market Research AI enabled solutions, data quality and consumer privacy is definitely a plus.
Expertise in Consulting or Private Equity environments is preferred. In addition to the key experience features, candidates with a background in the Consulting industry are highly encouraged to apply. Your understanding of the consulting landscape, coupled with your sales expertise, will be invaluable in driving our business growth and shaping our sales strategies.
Team Work - Ability to work effectively independently and harmoniously within a team while communicating a “can do” attitude and positive outlook. Willing to pitch in and do more than is required.
Qualification: Minimum of bachelor's degree and 5+ years professional experience in a business development role selling insights or data solutions, preferably in the consulting and investment space, and / or, the MarTech industry.
Skills and attributes: Excellent English and French language skills (speaking and writing) and good knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
